| Summary: | La considération des actes de langage conduit à souligner que le cantique d’Is 12 est introduit par une annonce prophétique, une promesse : « Tu diras ce jour-là : je te rends grâce… » (Is 12,1). L’action de grâce, et plus largement la liturgie, est ainsi présentée comme lieu d’accomplissement où l’œuvre de Dieu reçoit son sens, est accueillie comme œuvre de salut, salut d’un peuple qu’elle contribue à rassembler et à former. Le lecteur lui-même, par les cantiques insérés au fil des pages, est invité à s’associer à ce peuple de sauvés, introduits dans l’alliance et la communion avec Dieu. Analysis based on a speech acts approach helps to highlight how the hymn of Isaiah 12 is introduced by a prophetic announcement, a promise: "You will say on that day: I give thanks to you…" (Is 12:1). Thanksgiving, and the liturgy more generally, is thus presented as a place of fulfilment where the work of God receives its meaning, and is taken up as a work of salvation, the salvation of a people it contributes to gathering and forming. Through the insertion of the hymns into the flow of the pages, the reader is invited to join this people of the saved, brought into the covenant and communion with God. |
