Summary: | As the title suggests, the central thesis of this book is that people born with conditions giving rise to significant cognitive and or physical impairments are to be viewed as wondrous carriers of grace who disclose something of the divine nature. It is presented in the form of an extremely well-written extended theological reflection on the issue of congenital disability. As with all theological reflection, it brings together the lived experience of the author, sources from the Bible and Christian tradition, and areas of secular enquiry and practice (in this case pre- and perinatal medicine and bioethics). |
