Carnley rejects both the ‘historical proof’ approach (Carnley mentions N. T. Wright and Wolfhart Pannenberg as examples) and the fideist approach (e.g. Karl Barth) (pp. 1-2). Instead he seeks to base his argument on the characteristics of the present experience of encountering Jesus (p. 55). | ||
