Description
Summary:This essay reviews the Theological Bible Commentary in reference to the larger movement of explicitly theological Bible commentaries. After taking stock of some of the methods and conclusions of the new commentary, I suggest that although it is successfully employing the sensus litteralis and the sensus moralis/tropologicus the theological weight of the commentary would be further nourished with the sensus spiritualis/allegoricus, and anagogicus.
