总结:This article studies one key aspect of the art of the sixteenth-century Tuscan painter Rosso Fiorentino, his use of color. It is argued that, in his evolution as a colorist, Rosso develops complex references to the manners of modeling of High Renaissance artists which correspond to his evident manipulation of other artistic conventions. Rossos combination of what had been separate modes of using color is also characteristic of other painters of his generation, and may be seen as an important component of the style we call Mannerist.
