This Aristotelian conception of historical change is, furthermore, reflected in the taxonomic structure of the Recherches. The traditional, Aristotelian mode of thinking thus provided a means of understanding the wealth of historical entities revealed by developments in sixteenth-century legal and historical scholarship. | ||
