However, though a difficult year for Jews under the new emperor, 41 CE is not probable as the date of any expulsion, and 49 CE, supported mainly by the unreliable witness of Acts 18 and Orosius, is no more likely than any other year between 42 and 54 CE for such an act or acts on the part of Claudius. | ||
