Summary:This article presents a case and teaching materials based upon a real-life situation. Tris, a flame-retarding chemical, was found in a number of children's pajamas years after the chemical was discovered to be carcinogenic and subsequently banned from use., The case traces the actions and decisions that were taken by the individuals involved, primarily members of the advertising agency which handled the Peanut account. Students are asked to make decisions at a number of points as the case unfolds.
