| Resumo: | Le thème du «peuple» dans l’hymnographie byzantine chantée lors de la fête de la Protection de la Vierge peut faire l’objet d’une interprétation contextuelle qui présente les chrétiens comme le nouveau Peuple élu, appelé à répandre l’Évangile par le biais des conquêtes impériales byzantines ou slaves. L’analyse d’autres hymnes confirme la possibilité de cette interprétation, qui - à l’étude de la notion biblique de «peuple» - se révèle être en dissonance avec l’appel universel au salut manifesté par l’Évangile. Ceci invite à s’interroger sur l’interprétation des hymnes liturgiques en rapport avec les Écritures The theme of the «people» in the Byzantine hymnography sung for the feast of the Protection of the Virgin can be interpreted in a contextual way that considers the Christians as the new Chosen People, called to spread the Gospel thanks to military imperial conquest, Byzantine or Slavic. The analysis of other hymnes confirms the possibility of this interpretation. The study of the biblical notion of people shows that this comprehension is in discrepancy with the universal appeal for salvation in the Gospel. This leads to ask questions about the interpretation of liturgical hymns in connection with the Scriptures. |
