| Summary: | The idea of God is not resembled to anything in Islamic thought. Some verses of Quran and Hadith mention some features, attributes and actions of human being. These are to be understood by the concept of tanzih. In this article, Imam Maturidi’s views on (333/944d.) tashbih and tajsim (corporealism) about those verses and hadiths are analysed. 1-Accepting, through interpreting them, 2-Denying, when they conflict to other Quranic verses, reason,and tanzih, 3-Accepting as they are stated without interpretation.
