In this contribution, a new detail for the interpretation of the Egyptian Cheti XIIIa is presented. The emphasis is placed on the connection of the cooing of pigeons with wailing sounds. The new approach is made possible by a Hebrew parallel at Moshe Ibn Ezra from the 11th/12th century.
