Σύνοψη:Being a commentary on the Sampuṭodbhavatantra, Abhayākaragupta’s Āmnāyamañjarī is well known for its detailed treatment of a vast variety of subjects in the area of Indian Tantric Buddhism and for the richness of quotations from a wide range of textual sources. Until recently, however, only a small fragment of its Sanskrit original was available for scholarly investigation. But the research situation surrounding this work is now changing drastically thanks to the publication of a color facsimile of a Sanskrit- Tibetan bilingual manuscript in China. Having a critical edition of the Sanskrit text in view, the present author has so far published two preparatory research papers on the quotations found in the Āmnāyamañjarī, chapters 1–5. This paper, the third in the series, examines the quotations in chapters 6–8 of this important work of the “encyclopedic” author of the late period of Indian Buddhism.
