Description
Summary:The final chapter aims to build a bridge between Stephan Ernst’s theoretical framework and the practice-oriented papers of the other authors. In the initial step, reasons underlying the lingering reservation towards the concept of value are discussed. This is followed by a constructive proposal of an ethical approach based on the concept of value. The approach is then tested against competing approaches, such as virtue ethics and normative ethics, in terms of their differences and compatibility with the approach based on the concept of value. To incorporate the teleological aspects of action into the value approach, Stephan Ernst’s schema is expanded further. Additionally, the importance of the correspondence of employees’ values with company values and the theological dimension of ethics in the workplace are discussed
