Summary: | This article focuses primarily on the cultural context of Christian higher education in East Asia. Presented are the distinguishing features of the Far Eastern culture relevant to higher education along with an analysis of the place of Christian higher education in that context. The educational situation of Japan, and even less that of China, are not depicted with the same authority as that of Korea. Nevertheless, the author s cultural background helps elucidate with empathy the problems and difficulties facing Christian higher education in those countries. |
