| Summary: | I dette essay blir artikkelsamlingen Reformasjonen i nytt lys (2017) vurdert og kritisert. Samlingen omhandler tysk reformasjon og motreformasjonen. Opplegget blir for smalt både geografisk og teologisk. Frankrike og England burde vært trukket inn. I den teologiske analysen mangler forholdet mellom reformasjonen og senmiddelalderens filosofi (occamisme og nominalisme). Perspektivet er så vel kirkehistorisk som ide- og kulturhistorisk. Verdifullt er det at reformasjonens kulturelle og folkelige uttrykk og virkninger i Norge tas opp, og også at møtet mellom kirkelig diakoni og den moderne velferdsstaten drøftes. The anthology examined in this essay, Reformasjonen i nytt lys (The Reformation in a new light, 2017), is focussed on the continental Lutheran Reformation and the Catholic Reform/Counter-Reformation. However, the Reformation in England and the conflicts in France caused by the Reformation are unfortunately ignored, and the theological analyses are without any reference to the philosophy of the late Middle Ages (occamism and nominalism). The Reformation in Scandinavia (Norway) is mainly put in a cultural and people-oriented perspective. The critical confrontation between the ecclesial Diaconate and the welfare state during the 19th century is adequately presented. |
