Description
Summary:In the writings of Romano Guardini one can trace the outline of a theology of religious experience: a study of the general phenomenon of religious experience aimed at unveiling the core of that authentic and immediate contact with God that every man can achieve. By tracing the thought of the German-Italian theologian, this work makes explicit the philosophical presuppositions and reflects on the content of this theology. The research highlights some requirements and modalities of an authentic religious experience, i.e., those conditions that, according to Guardini, allow us to determine whether in a certain numinous experience it is truly God who reveals himself and communicates his grace.
