| Summary: | This study presents the ministry of S. Joseph Cafasso's spiritual exercises, he being the formator of the clergy in the first half of the XIX century and S. John Bosco's spiritual director. Cafasso's exercises for the clergy represent an interpretation of S. Ignatius's and a contribution to the history of the exercises. They contain a view of the holiness of the ministerial priesthood which has to be considered in its own historical and theological context, but also presents permanent elements. |
