| Summary: | Pope Francis has called a synod that will occupy and worry the church for years to come. In this article I want to make a small contribution from biblical theology to this topic. Although the word "synod" does not appear in the New Testament, we can identify the reality of a synod style, synod processes and synod events, which can and should illuminate us in these years of synod meetings, discernments and celebrations. |
