| Sumario: | This paper aims at outlining the origins and development of the debate on the theology of personhood in contemporary Orthodoxy, starting from the Paris school that emerged in the 1930s and was nourished by the Russian diaspora up to the recent debate on Trinitarian ontology occasioned by the work of Metropolitan Ioannis Zizioulas. It can be noticed that the contemporary critical debate follows the same criteria of orthodoxy that have already emerged in the patristic and Byzantine eras. |
