Description
Summary:Our law firm began working with the estate of an extremely wealthy family some time ago. One of the heirs is a nun. Her relatives fear that her community will get all of her inheritance when she dies. This understanding comes from their pastor. If this is true, the relatives will contest it in civil court. Three of our civil lawyers are working on the estate issues. None of us are Catholics. We know next to nothing about canon law. Is it true that this nun’s community gets her share of the inheritance regardless of her wishes?
