| Summary: | The Pontifical Commission for the Cultural Heritage of the Church was born in the context of the reform of the Roman Curia in 1988, operating until 2012. It describes the multiple activities of address to episcopal conferences, dioceses and ecclesiastical operators for the protection, conservation and enhancement of the artistic and historical heritage (archives, libraries and museums) and for the promotion of Christian art. We provide some bibliographic and archival tools for further research. La Pontificia Commissione per i Beni Culturali della Chiesa è nata nell’ambito della riforma della Curia romana del 1988, operando fino al 2012. Se ne descrivono le molteplici attività di indirizzo a conferenze episcopali, diocesi e operatori ecclesiastici per la tutela, conservazione e valorizzazione del patrimonio artistico e storico (archivi, biblioteche e musei) e per la promozione dell’arte cristiana. Si forniscono alcuni strumenti bibliografici e archivistici per l’approfondimento della ricerca. |
