| Summary: | This essay on the theology of history points out the contrast between two emergingvisions on the future of the world and of society: on the one hand transhumanism, asa complete manifestation of modern secularization, which aims at the technologicalovercoming of man and opens to distopical horizons; on the other hand, the ecclesialand theocentric proposal of a true humanity, sensitive to the Gospel, based on personaldignity, human fraternity and ecological care (the catholic «eutopia»). Those two antithetical approaches are probably the most crucial alternative that our contemporaries will be confronted with. Questo saggio di teologia della storia rileva il contrasto tra due visioni emergentisul futuro del mondo e della società: da un lato il transumanismo, come compiutamanifestazione della moderna secolarizzazione, che mira al superamento tecnologicodell’uomo e dischiude prospettive distopiche; dall’altro la proposta ecclesiale e teocentrica di una vera umanità, illuminata dal Vangelo, basata sulla dignità personale,la fraternità umana e una ecologia integrale (eu-topia cattolica). Questi due approcciantitetici sono probabilmente la più cruciale alternativa a cui i nostri contemporaneisaranno confrontati. |
