Description
Summary:The present paper aims to present the papers published in Gregorianum that have patristic content, more than a hundred in number. Above all, it focuses on their authors, who are amongst the most distinguished European patrologists of the 20th Century. The most important author was undoubtedly Fr. Antonio Orbe SJ, who wrote about sixty articles and hundreds of book reviews. It should be remembered, however, that patrology in the Gregorianum lived its golden years even before Orbe, at the beginning of the 1930’s, when each volume of the journal contained articles dedicated to the Fathers of the Church.
