The article focuses on the development of Alfaro’s thought on the act of faith, fromthe very beginning right through to the final stages of his teaching career. After VaticanCouncil II, he started reflecting on faith as a “fundamental option”. Dalle Lectiones de fide (1583) di Francisco Suárez alle Adnotationes in tractatumde virtutibus theologicis (1959) di Juan Alfaro, la tradizione teologica della Gregorianaha mostrato un costante impegno sul terreno della apologetica moderna. L’articolofocalizza l’attenzione sullo sviluppo del pensiero di Alfaro riguardo al tema dell’attodi fede, dagli inizi della sua carriera di professore fino alla fase conclusiva del suoinsegnamento. Dopo il Concilio Vaticano II, egli cominciò a riflettere sulla fede come“opzione fondamentale”. |
