Description
Summary:The following is a general bibliography on the Phoenicians. Such a bibliography is by its nature selective but an effort has been made to include works that would themselves lead the user to a complete bibliography on a particular subject. Several general introductions are included, as are a few semipopular works that contain useful illustrations. In addition, a few final excavation reports from the homeland sites are listed because references to other excavation reports can be found in them. Preliminary reports on the newer excavations (e. g., Tell Dor, Ras el-Bassit and Ras Ibn Hani) can be found in Israel Exploration Journal and Syria. Annual bibliographies can be found in Rivista di Studi Fenici.
