| Summary: | The Megiddo pottery assemblages of the Iron Age I, IIA, and IIB periods are well known, but those of the Iron IIC have received little attention. In this paper, the Iron IIC pottery assemblages of Strata III and II are presented and discussed. Based on this analysis, it follows that this period can be divided into two phases: the Early Iron IIC and Late Iron IIC. In light of this proposed subdivision, Megiddo and other key sites in northern Israel are analyzed and chronological and historical implications evaluated. |
