| Zusammenfassung: | A Late Bronze Age settlement was identified at Arediou "Vouppes," Cyprus, in 1993. This has been interpreted as an agricultural support village and, as such, forms a lynchpin in the development of political-economic models based on the island's settlement hierarchy. This paper examines the material culture assemblage recovered during intensive survey in 2004, in particular the ceramics and lithics, with a view to testing the interpretation of the site as a specialized production center, ultimately to develop a categorization of a rural community on the island during the Late Bronze Age. |
