| Summary: | El pontificado de Francisco, primer obispo de Roma y Papa latinoamericano, muestra que el Viento de Dios sopla fuerte en el Pueblo de Dios desde el Sur. La novedad de su ministerio brilla en la exhortación Evangelii Gaudium (2013). Ésta hunde sus raíces tanto en la figura singular del jesuita Jorge Mario Bergoglio como en su pertenencia a la Iglesia de América Latina y al proyecto misionero de la V Conferencia General del Episcopado de América Latina y El Caribe celebrada en Aparecida, Brasil. También, en las convergencias del pensamiento del Papa, pastor y pastoralista, con aportes de la incipiente pero promisoria teología argentina. Este estudio analiza la teología pastoral latinoamericana desde la II Conferencia episcopal de Medellín (1968) hasta la V de Aparecida (2007). Luego de señalar la novedad misionera de Francisco, dibuja algunos rasgos del rostro de la Iglesia latinoamericana y estudia los diversos nexos entre Aparecida y Evangelii Gaudium. The pontificate of Francis, first Latin American pope and bishop of Rome, shows that the Breath of God from the South is blowing strongly within the People of God. The novelty of Francis' ministry shines forth in the Apostolic Exhortation Evangelii Gaudium (2013). This text is rooted both in the particular personality of the Jesuit Jorge Mario Bergoglio and in a tradition of Latin American Church to which it is attached — especially the missionary project of the Fifth General Gathering of the Episcopate of Latin America and the Caribbean, held in Aparecida, Brazil. A further wellspring of the text is the link between the thought of the Pope, as pastor and expert in Pastoral Theology, and insights from the nascent but promising Argentinian theology. This study analyses Latin American pastoral theology from the Second Gathering of Latin American Bishops, held in Medellin (1968), to the Fifth Gathering (Aparecida, 2007). After noting the missionary novelty of Francis, we sketch some of the features that lend a particular countenance to the Latin American church, and study the various links between the Aparecida text and Evangelii Gaudium. |
