The poetry of Pedro Salinas contains an undeniable metaphysical weight, which places itself in relief by the continual expressing of a lifelong desire for transcendence. Over and beyond the exterior phenomena, such as the reality of doubt and the «I», the figure of concrete love, of flesh and bone, bestows meaning upon the reality of the physical world. This step, founded totally on love, could constitute an interpretive key of La voz a ti debida. The poet opens himself likewise to the experience of the infinite and thus, makes visible a world wholly his own, through the mediation of his work. |
