One of the irresolvable mysteries of Mark's Gospel is the identity of the nude young man, who flees after the arrest of Jesus (Mk 14, 51-52). This article attempts to show, with some literary and figurative examples, the metamorphosis in the imagination of the first Christians, which came from an encounter with this anonymous follower, before the rise of modern exegesis. |
