| Summary: | L'article distingue trois périodes, dans le XXe siecle théologique français: 1893-1943 où l'on est préoccupé de la crise moderniste; 1945-1965 où toutes sortes de renouveaux preparent Vatican II; de 1965 à nos jours, où se fait la réception du Concile en même temps qu'apparaissent de nouveaux défis. Après avoir ajouté aux noms des théologiens les plus connus quelques autres qui méritent attention, il decrit ce qui permet de dire qu'il n'y a pas seulement au XXe siècle des théologiens français, mais une théologie frangaise, essentiellement soucieuse du rapport entre foi et culture. This paper distinguishes three periods of French theology in the Twentieth Century: 1893-1943, when the major concern is the crisis of Modernism; 1945-1965, when a variety of reforms are preparing for Vatican II; and from 1965 till the present day, as the reception of the Council meets new challenges. After supplementing the names of the best-known theologians with some others who deserve attention, the paper proposes that in the Twentieth Century, there are not only French theologians, but in fact a French theology, that is deeply concerned with the relationship between faith and culture. |
