Summary: | This article serves as an introduction to the text of Otto F. Kernberg which follows. It sets out to introduce some of the principal questions concerning leadership and leaders which are addressed in psychological research and writing. A brief critical summary follows of some of the main approaches adopted: leadership and traits, leadership and situation, contingency models, systems approaches. Finally the contribution of Kernberg to the discussion of leadership is introduced, with particular attention to how what this contribution may have to add to the other approaches which were mentioned. The reader is then encouraged to read Kernberg's text which follows. L'articolo introduce alia lettura del seguente testo di Otto F. Kernberg, presentando alcune delle questioni principali circa il tema della 'leadership' e dei 'leaders' e trattate dalla ricerca e dagli scritti di psicologia. Segue un breve riassunto critico di alcuni dei principali approcci adottati: leadership in termini di tratti, leadership e situazione, modelli contestuali, modelli sistemici. Il contributo di Kernberg è infine presentato con particolare attenzione alle sua originalita nei confronti degli altri approcci menzionati. |
