Summary: | Existential Analysis proves the experiencing of meaning by the phenomenological essence of "being-with", in relation to other essences as persons, things, tasks, situations, etc. Yet this "being-with" is not temporalized in a radical way as demanded by Heidegger in the context of the "destruction of metaphysics" dealing with the problem of "givenness". Psychotherapeutically seen, exactly this holistic temporalization of subjectivity is required to clear out every substantialized understanding of the "self", i.e. fixations putting objectives into the place of a "vital" conduct. As long as meaning is looked for within such objective (or even objectivistic) representations, the basic experiencing of primary affectivity is prevented. This primary affectivity carries each kind of temporalized meaning in its entirety and turns out to be the immanent essence of every "vital" expression. |
