Summary: | The article investigates the meaning of the ordained ministry in the perspective of the relationship between the royal priesthood and the ministerial priesthood. From the priesthood of Christ, the gaze shifts to the baptismal priesthood, for which all Christians are called to make their lives a living sacrifice pleasing to God. The ministerial priesthood exists in the Church at the service of this common priesthood. It is therefore an ecclesial service that irrevocably defines the existence of the priest and orients his spirituality. |
