Summary: | In this essay the author focuses in a particular way on the Rosminian ascetic perspective expressed, above all, in the Maxims of Christian Perfection. He gives a series of reflections on Antonio Rosmini's text, drawing out their meaning in dialogue with Rosmini's other work. He brings out the implications of the maxims for the deepening of the spiritual life and highlights their usefulness in times of crisis, particularly in the context of today’s pandemic. The theoretical-practical perspective that the author proposes is a sort of 'renewal in the tradition' of the Christian thought and offers interesting reflections which are intended to provoke further insights and discussion on the value of morality today. |
