| Summary: | In the year that marks the third centenary of the publication of Loreto Lusitano, Virgem Senhora da Lapa (1719-2019), the author proposes to give some contributions for a more structured analysis of this little known book. From the hand of entrepreneur priest António Cordeiro, who founded a Jesuit college on the top of Serra da Lapa, it is an indispensable source for the history of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lapa and a very rich document for the study of the ruling clerical mentality in the transition from the seventeenth century to the eighteenth century. Coincidindo com o ano em que se comemora o IIIº centenário da publicação do Loreto Lusitano, Virgem Senhora da Lapa (1719-2019), o autor do artigo propõe-se fornecer alguns contributos para uma análise mais estruturada desta obra pouco conhecida . Da mão do empreendedor Padre António Cordeiro, que fundou um colégio jesuíta no alto da Serra da Lapa, é uma fonte imprescindível para a história do Santuário de Nossa Senhora da Lapa e um documento muito rico para o estudo da mentalidade clerical dominante, na transição do século XVII para o século XVIII. |
