| Summary: | L’articolo si propone di analizzare anagogicamente il commento di san Tommaso alla pericope evangelica che descrive il dialogo notturno tra Gesù e Nicodemo (Giovanni 3,1-21). Concentrandosi sul tema della rinascita dall’alto come condizione e realtà della salvezza, lo scritto intende mostrare in primis come, per l’Aquinate, la restaurazione nella Grazia cui Cristo allude si realizzi mediante il dono che Dio fa all’uomo di un nuovo modo di vedere l’esistente, il modo di vedere della fede. In seconda battuta il saggio spiega come e in che senso sia necessario appartenere alla Chiesa in forza del battesimo per poter fruire della salvezza, ossia del modo cristico di contemplare la Deitas. The purpose of this study is to analyze anagogically the pericope based on the St. Thomas’ commentary on the Gospel of St. John referred to the nightly conversation between Nicodemus and Jesus (John 3:1-21). Firstly, focusing on the key theme of rebirthing from above as the condition and reality of salvation, this essay shows how Jesus’allusion to the renovation through Grace can be achieved through the God’s gift of a new way of seeing reality: the gaze of faith. Secondly, this paper explains how and in what sense is necessary to be part of the Church through baptism in order to enjoy salvation, that is the christic contemplation of Deitas. |
