Da una parte, presentiamo la formalizzazione dell'ontologia (cioè, l'ontologia formale) della metafisica della partecipazione di Tommaso d'Aquino. Malgrado nel saggio sia essenzialmente formalizzata la “partecipazione predicamentale” di origine aristotelica, dell'individuo alla specie e della specie al genere (generi naturali), nondimeno la sua struttura formale (sintassi) puo essere applicata anche alla semantica délia “partecipazione trascendentale” di oeni ente all' essere (esse ut actus). Allo stesso tempo, questa ontologia formale ehe definiamo Realismo Naturale (RN) può essere interpretata anche - e questo è il secondo argomento del saggio - corne l'ontologia formale dell'attuale cambio di paradigma in fisica fondamentale, dalla meccanica classica e quantistica (quantum mechanics, QM), alla teoria quantistica dei campi (quantum field theory, QFT). L'ontologia formale del RN è basata sulla logica (sintassi) dell'implicazione inversa (q ← p) e della sua versione modale (¬◊(q¬p)) come semantica della implicazione causale, “è impossibile ehe un effetto sia senza la s causa” e, ontologicamente, délia causalità formale, secondo il suggerimento di Aristotele e di Tommaso, contro l'identificazione di nécessita loeica e causale di Leibniz e Kant. Essenzialmente per questa ragione il RN è anche l'ontologia propria délie transizioni di fase in QFT, con la “generazione” “eduzione” (impredicibile emergenza) di un nuovo dominio di coerenza di fase, cioè la “forma”, ai un sistema fisico dal vuoto quantistico, sostrato dinamico di tutta la realtà fisica, corne la materia prima dell'ontologia aristotelica. The present work of formal philosophy is concerned with a double, related issue. On one side, we present in it a formalization of the ontology (i.e., a formal ontology) of the Aquinas metaphysics of participation. Despite it essentially formalizes the Aristotelian "predicative participation" of individuals to species and of species to genera (natural kinds), nevertheless its formal structure (syntax) can be applied also to the semantics of Aquinas' "transcendental participation" to being (esse ut actus) of each existent thing (analogia propor tionalitatis between the two participations, while there is an analogi proportionis between the analogata in each of them). At the same time, such a formal ontology, we named as Natural Realism (NR), can be interpreted also - and this is the other issue discussed in this paper - as the formal ontology of the actual change of paradigm in fundamental physics and cosmology from the quantum mechanics (QM) to the quantum field theory (QFT). In it, the Aquinas notion of a composed substance, actually existing as a totality composed by its parts formally distinct among them, though virtually existing within the actual existing whole, is implemented in the new interpretation of the QM particle-wave representational duality, in terms of the QFT dynamical duality between a particle (e.g., an electron) and its force field (the electronic force field), in which the former individual (particle) is now the relative massive quantum. Just as a photon is the non-massive quantum of the electromagnetic field. The formal core of NR is thus systematically different, despite several phenomenological contact points, from the analogue proposal of the Conceptual Natural Realism (CNR), recently proposed by N. B. Cocchiarella as a formal ontology of QM. NR ontology, is based, indeed, on the logic of the converse implication (q ← p) and of its modal version (¬◊(q∧¬p)), as the logic of the causal necessity, according to Aristotle's and Aquinas' suggestion. In it, the truth in the inferential chain is not conserved, as it is required in any dynamic and nonstatistical process of form generation (morphogenesis), and so it is formally different from the logic implication. Mainly for this reason NR is also the proper logic also of the phase transitions in QFT, with the dynamic generation (unpredictable emergence) of a new phase coherence domain, i.e. a complex physical systems, from the quantum vacuum including "from the inside", like the first matter of the Aristotelian ontology, all the physical realm. |
