Si tratterà di vedere, in questo lavoro, se i domenicani interpretino il pensiero di Tommaso nella medesima maniera se invece, incalzati da Guglielmo de la Mare e timorosi di incorrere in errori condannati a Parigi da Tempier, non mostrino delle palesi titubanze che farebbero pensare, già nel primo tomismo, ad una complessa organizzazione della dottrina. The apparent ambiguity of the liberty of volition of Thomas Aquinas has provoked an extensive debate at the end of the thirteenth century condensed in the reading of the Correctoria. To the work of th Franciscan, William de la Mare, Correctorium fratris Thomae, there five Dominican replies: Quare, Sciendum, Circa, Quaestione, Apologeticum veritatis contra Corruptorium. In this present work, there will be an examination to see whether the Dominicans interpreted the thought of Thomas in the same manner or if instead, pressed by William de la Mare and afraid of falling into the errors condemned at Paris by Tempier, they show hesitant disclosers which makes one think that there already is a complex organization of doctrine within early Thomism. |
