Ce Comité déploya son activité tant en France qu'à l'étranger, par son Bulletin protestant français, par l'édition de nombreux ouvrages en plusieurs langues, par des tournées de conférences ou la réception de représentants des Églises protestantes de l'étranger, en particulier Charles S. Macfarland, secrétaire général du Federal Council of the Churches of Christ in America. En janvier 1927, le Comité de propagande se transforma officiellement en Comité protestant des amitiés françaises à l'étranger. In an attempt to bring certain neutral countries over to the side of the Allies, the recently founded French Protestant Federation set up, in June 1915, a Protestant Committee for French Propaganda Abroad. This committee was active both in France and abroad with its French Protestant Bulletin, with the publication of numerous books in various languages, with lecture tours and with welcoming representatives of foreign Protestant Churches, in particular Charles S. Macfarland, Secretary General of the Federal Council of the Churches of Christ in America. In January 1927 the Propaganda Committee was officially transformed into the Protestant Committee for French Friendship Abroad. Um bestimmte neutrale Länder auf die Seite der Alliierten zu ziehen, gründete der eben erst geschlossene « Protestantische Bund Frankreichs » im Juni 1915 das « Protestantische Komitee für französische Auslandspropaganda ». Dieses Komitee war sowohl in Frankreich als auch im Ausland tätig. Es brachte sein eigenes Mitteilungsblatt heraus und veröffentlichte zahlreiche Bücher in verschiedenen Sprachen. Auch gehörten Vortragsreisen zum Programm sowie der Empfang von Abgesandten ausländischer protestantischer Kirchen, namentlich von Charles S. Macfarland, dem Generalsekretär des « Bundesrats der christlichen Kirchen in Amerika ». Im Januar 1927 entstand aus dem Propagandakomitee das « Protestantische Komitee für französische Freundschaft im Ausland ». |
