Ce mensuel accordait en effet, comme son nom l'indique, une grande importance à la photographie. Son directeur, Paul Eberhard, a voulu coupler une forme novatrice et l'affirmation d'une parole protestante engagée. Le souci d'être en prise directe avec l'actualité du monde comme avec l'actualité religieuse est resté durant près de vingt ans à la base de cette entreprise. The Illustré protestant was created in 1952, and published until 1971. In French Protestant periodical press, it represents an original editorial initiative. As its title implies, this monthly publication emphasized the importance of photography. Paul Eberhard, its director, intended to conciliate a strong protestant voice with a new form. The desire to combine a broad vision of world issues with a close look a current religious new remained, for twenty years, the core of this enterprise. Gegründet 1952, bis 1971 von Paul Eberhard herausgegeben, stellte die Monatsschrift L'Illustré protestant den interessanten Versuch dar, eine innovative Form, die sich u. a. durch eine anspruchsvolle Photographik auszeichnete, mit einem starken protestantischen Engagement sowohl in allgemeinen als auch in religiösen Aktualitätsfragen in Übereinstimmung zu bringen. |
