Immédiatement à l'est, la découverte des fondations d'un mur ayant les dimensions connues du premier temple, permet de suggérer la localisation de ce bâtiment jusqu'alors mal situé. Archaeological investigations have identified the protestant cemetery of Charenton in the XVIIth century which, because of the homogeneity of the group of people buried there, represents a unique anthropological site. Immediately to the east of the cemetery, the foundations of a wall corresponding to the known dimensions of the first temple have been discovered. This may well indicate the site of the first Charenton temple, which until now has been uncertain. Archäologische Ausgrabungen in Charenton haben einen protestantischen Friedhof aus dem XVII. Jahrhundert ans Licht gebracht. Diese anthropologische Stätte ist höchst interessant aufgrund ihrer spezifischen Bevölkerung. Im östlichen Teil wurden die Fundamente einer Mauer entdeckt, derer Masse gerade denen der früheren Kirche entsprechen. Diese Entdeckung lässt uns den Platz vermuten, wo dieses Gebäude gestanden haben soll, was wir bisher nicht genau wussten. |
