The different aspects of the protestant history of the french XVIIIth century, can be found in the story of a provençal little village : La Roque-d'Anthéron. At the Luberon's door, a reformed minority resists to the application of the revocation of the Edit de Nantes. First of all underground, the resistance was so strong and so open, thoughout the century, that just before the French Revolution, the Protestant head has not been uprooted by a century of persecution. |
