Description
Summary:Raymund Schwager’s dramatic model tries to bridge the traditional chasm between Spiritual and Dogmatic Theology. The article latches onto the author’s personal experience with the «father" of the Innsbruck dramatic model, depicts the tensions, into which Schwager was thrown at the beginning of his academic career, and on this background reconstructs the theologian’s personal struggle with God - in as far as this can be elicited from his works. In this context, it also becomes meaningful that Schwager attributes great significance to Jesus’ own experience of being rejected in the Drama of Salvation. The common thread in all of Schwager’s theology is the conviction that Jesus’ non-violent and transformative reaction towards his enemies reveals the peculiarity of the Christian experience of God.
