Description
Summary:In medieval philosophy, it was commonly assumed that, while the world is really related to God, there is no real relation from God to the world. – In my paper, I show how this claim follows from the Aristotelian presumptions of the medievals, and I discuss the application of the respective claim in the theology of German theologian Peter Knauer. My goal in doing so is twofold : I want to explain what lead the medievals to deny a real relation from God to the world, and I want to lay out Knauers modifications of this assumption, leading him to the development of his relational ontology.
