Description
Summary:The so-called "strophic songs" (CTH 735), a group of monolingual Hattian texts, along with numerous texts hitherto catalogued under CTH 745 ("Hattische Fragmente"), show special formal features that distinguish them from the other Hattian sources. The strophic songs can be divided into two typological groups on the basis of the division of the texts in columns, the extension of lines over two columns and other formal characteristics, including the placement of the colophons. An analysis of the preserved colophons shows that the compositions of this text group were organised in sequences of tablets.
