| Summary: | The main objective of this article is discuss the phenomenon of female rebuilting that the Pentecostal Churches as Universal do Reino de Deus (Universal of God’s Kingdom) and Renascer em Cristo (Reborn in Christ) are developing in Brazil. Such churches were chosen because their pioneerism in using television as a diffusion vehicle of models to their followers identity formation. They produce and structure “eletronic communities of consolation” that spread and stimulate new standards of living the female gender in a different way used in other traditional Pentecostal denominations. These electronic comunities of consolation look for the world homogenization equationalizing the differences between the “genders” through the faith discussion. This article summarize some reflections developed from the investigation which I fulfilled to the elaboration of my doctoral degree. |
