Description
Summary:One hundred and six texts telling the same story have been found thanks to a searching out of manuscripts of the Vita Adae et Evae preserved in Occidental Libraries. Five major textual traditions (including one or more redactions with both similar and distinct story) have emerged from the editorial practices of scribes. This study analyses these five traditions. Its aim is to lay the foundations of a critical edition and to reveal how this apocrypha has been transmitted from the IXth to the XVth century and from Great Britanny to the German Empire Oriental border.
