Description
Summary:The aim of this study is to criticize et round off some recent definitions of the christological theme of polymorphy, as it appears in many Christian texts at the beginning of our era. The literary and religious context then is fundamentally enlarged, especially in order to investigate several related research trails, such as "polyonymy" or the so-called literary genre "metamorphosis" and finally some Christian ascetic traditions, which bear some new and significant light on the subject of polymorphy. Each of these research areas constitutes a singular and organized stage or type of the universal and "polymorphic" phenomenon of religious polymorphy in Antiquity.
