Description
Summary:This paper discusses the links between (homo) sexuality, gender relations and religion from the first impressions of the ethnographic study about an “inclusive church” in the city of São Paulo (Brazil) and dialogue with other recent research on other “ inclusive “ denominations in Brazil.Inclusive churches are a recent phenomenon in Brazil and call attention to the compatibility of Christianity and non-heterosexual behavior (mostly evangelical). From the early 2000s happens the proliferation of various denominations in Brazil, setting major theological differences and the adoption of moral conduct (sexual) between them, in this way, it’s possible to apprehend different ways in which these “new” churches deal with sexual diversity well from their representations of “feminine” and “masculine.”
